Renters Legal Liability™ Insurance is operated by people who have extensive
experience in the insurance industry and property management. The company is also supported and advised by various professionals
who are insurance agents, cost accountants, financial analysts, managers, directors,
and owners' representatives in the multifamily housing industry. The Renters Legal Liability™ Insurance program is offered
in 50 US states to owners and property managers in the
multifamily housing industry.

Received his BS Degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Utah in 1958. Fifty years ago he obtained his Insurance license and has held an agents and brokers insurance license since that time. He is presently licensed to sell insurance in 34 states. He was the president and chief executive officer as well as the majority shareholder of Affiliated Insurance Agency until June 1, 2000 when he sold the
agency to First Security Bank. At the time of sale, the agency employed 28
individuals and was ranked in the top five largest agencies in Utah. They were doing business in twenty-six states including Alaska and Hawaii.
First Security Bank sold to Wells Fargo Bank and their insurance entity was moved into Acordia Insurance, which they owned. He has recently retired from Acordia Insurance Agency on June 1, 2004.
He has authored articles for several publications in the insurance field. He has initiated new and innovative insurance programs
including some of the earliest coverage for mobile phones and implementation of Natural Disaster Protection Insurance which covered earthquake, flood and landslide for homeowners and small business properties, a program successfully adopted throughout the western United States of America.
In his fifty years experience in the insurance industry he has served in various
capacities for the betterment and advancement of the industry. He served in the

Paul Kaliades, President
Received his B.A. in economics from Columbia University and in 2000, was named to the Columbia All-Century Football Team following his All-American football career.
Prior to joining Renters Legal Liability LLC, he was President of SureDeposit, the nation’s leading provider of security deposit alternatives for the multifamily industry. He started as vice president of national sales in 2000, then led SureDeposit’s dramatic expansion of its innovative program and was a leading force in helping the national multi-housing industry’s acceptance of security deposit alternatives.
Previous to SureDeposit, Kaliades was Executive Vice President of Kamson Corporation, where he oversaw marketing and management for Kamson’s portfolio of more than 70 buildings totaling over 11,000 units located throughout New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.
With more than 18 years of multifamily sales and management experience, Kaliades has earned a national reputation for guiding multi-family companies through critical developmental stages. He is the author of articles for various publications, and has participated in conference and convention presentations throughout the United States related to the multi-family industry.
He has also been recognized as:
- 1996 Distinguished Owner of the Year Award from the New Jersey Apartment Association
- 1997-1999 President of the New Jersey Apartment Association, during which time the association membership doubled
- Region II delegate to the National Apartment Association for 5 years, and active involvement on the Legislative and Budget Committees of the NAA
- Membership in the National Apartment Association, having participated in the Annual Capital Conference held in Washington D.C., as well as active involvement in the Strategic Growth Task Force, whose efforts led to the formation of the formation of both the Connecticut and Greater Hudson Valley Apartment Associations
- Member of the Board of Directors for the National Multi-Housing Council
- Appointed to the Landlord-Tenant Task Force by former New Jersey Governor Whitman, to improve the environment between property owners, residents, legislators and governments
- Worked with New Jersey state legislative bodies, to explore issues and impacts of legislation in the New Jersey State Senate and House of Representatives, related to maintaining the health of the apartment industry in the State

Served four years as the chief deputy in the office of the Salt Lake County Attorney. In connection with that office's responsibility represented the Salt Lake County Commission and Salt Lake County Government generally.
During the decade of the seventies served as a municipal attorney for Park City, Utah (5 years) and West Jordan, Utah (8 years), providing legal services and advising the municipalities on all civil and criminal matters, and matters relating to municipal law. Also served in the past as a pro temp judge in small claims court in Salt Lake City.
As a practicing attorney has been involved in the area of law relating to real
estate, real estate development, municipal governmental law, and civil
litigation. His practice includes matters relating to the various phases in the
development, financing, and construction of real estate development projects;
negotiations in the acquisition and development of real estate; has served as a
consultant with various real estate developers in Utah and Idaho, in the area of
bond financing, financing generally, development, construction, leasing and
selling of apartment complexes, commercial real estate, shopping centers,
hotels, motels, office buildings, etc.
Since arrival in the United States has been a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Greater Salt Lake Area of Salt Lake County. Actively involved in the affairs of the Greek Orthodox Community of the Greater Salt Lake Area.
Actively involved in the affairs of Hellenism, Hellenic culture and education
throughout the western United States; close working relationship with the Greek
Consulate General in San Francisco, related to the promotion of mutual interests and understanding of the Greek Community. He has received many honors from his peers in the legal profession and from the community at large.

company that identifies uninsured motorists for several state entities.

Don Taylor, Vice President

Don Taylor received his B.S. Degree in speech communications from Brigham Young
University in 1974. He obtained his insurance agent’s license in 1976. He has
held numerous positions in the insurance field. He is the founder, president and
chief executive officer of Bennion Taylor Insurance, since 1978.
He has a wide range of clients throughout the Intermountain West. He has been very active in numerous areas of sales of multifaceted insurance products throughout the western
United States. After college he worked for two years in sales for Proctor & Gamble. He served as a commercial underwriter for USF&G Insurance Company.
His 29 year insurance marketing experience includes the sale of diverse specialized insurance products in the insurance field, ranging from underground coal mines to off-road Jeep crawling events.
He is the co-founder of Insure-Rite LLC, a Utah database program which tracks uninsured motorists in the State of Utah.
He currently serves on Insure-Rite Inc.’s board of directors.
Insure-Rite is the pioneer of the uninsured motorist tracking industry. That program is credited with the reduction of the uninsured motorist population from 24% to its current level of under 8%.
Additionally Mr. Taylor is involved in various insurance related business ventures.
In 2008, Taylor created the Secure It Insure It program. This is an insurance program
which gives significant insurance credit for GPS devices installed in mobile
equipment and monitored by a tracking system. The concept is patent pending.
It is managed by Networked Insurance Agents and underwritten by OneBeacon
Insurance Company. Taylor currently serves as CEO.
John Steffen, Vice President
Mr. Steffen has spent 31 years in the insurance industry. His career includes sales and
management for Republic Insurance Group, culminating in forming a partnership
with Bennion Taylor Insurance Agency.
He has a B.S. in Political Science from California State University, Northridge, and studied for two years at the Southwestern University School of Law.
